With recent versions you might have to set it to compatibility modes, others will comment for the specific setting. Re: increasing crashes with Cubase Post by valis » Fri Mar 27, am Right click Cubase's shortcut that you launch it from and set it to compatibility for Windows 8. See if that helps. I believe that's the correct setting at least, I'm still on an old version of Cubase since it isn't my primary DAW.

Re: increasing crashes with Cubase Post by garyb » Fri Mar 27, am new plugin? When I had the first problems I deleted them.

I also reinstalled Cubase at this occasion. Both without effect. There has been a update for Cubase in that period too from When Cubase crashes, the Cubase windows close and I get a loop of about half a second or less that is repeated until I close the still running Scope application. If I restart scope it behaves correct. Afterwards I can restart Cubase.

I will try the compatibility setting but it wasn't necessary before. Usually use a Thumb Drive. CPU was working way too hard and it was heat, but while it was hotter because being offline causes the PC to run to mama Windows 10 and search for files it never finds. Must be frustrating.

I even updated my last Windows 7 spare to Windows 10 since it runs so smooth. What do you guys think? I believe it was already suggested. Indeed it's suggested in every thread having to do with building or using a DAW. I was going to say more but I'm afraid I might slip into plt sgt mode instead.

What should I look for and what should I stay away from? If you have the room the 3. I had a bad experience with a 2.

I have them and they work fine. The key is the USB 2. You can still find stuff out there that is only USB 1. Most premanufactured 2. Thanks so much!! Just make sure that your drive is secure in the enclosure and the screws are firm.

A word of caution on the screws- Tight's right but too tight's not right. Screw slots are super easy to strip out on these enclosures. Another thing about external drives or other tethered things. Make sure you don't bump them when recording. If you wiggle cables enough to drop the connection you will lock up your system or dump your DAW session. This is true whether its an interface or a HDD.

About what size should I be looking at? It could be a plugin that is misbehaving. I visited my cubase 9. Back to 9. Maybe somebody can help understanding this crash files …. OH and I did update all iloks, elicenser, plugin version, tried disabled preferences Cubase save mode etc. Kontakt 6. Messages: 8. After updating Kontakt I have been getting constant random crashes in Cubase It's happened 9 times so far and I also get the error message about kontakt.

I have tried reinstalling everything, deleting the registry, deleting the appdata kontakt folder and reinstalling but nothing has worked. I cannot continue with my project because of this. Messages: Hey, Sorry to hear you are experiencing this. You mentioned it seems random, but can you provide any insight on the workflows you were doing when this happened? Yaron NI , Jul 8, Hi Yaron, Yeah it seems random , it has happened when just midi editing or it can happen during vst playback.
