If you remove active users, any unsaved work of theirs will be lost. On the Editing tab, in the Who has this workbook open now list, review the names of users.
Select the name of the user who you want to disconnect, and then click Remove User. Please note that although this action disconnects the user from the workbook, it does not prevent that user from editing the workbook again. Before you turn off this feature, you might want to make a copy of the change history. First make sure that all other users have completed their work.
