There is no question that spiritual darkness pervades our world. You can see it in the lives of Africans living in bondage to their fetishes and charms, Asians deceived by their religious beliefs, and Latin Americans wrapped in their religious rituals. In the Middle East and North Africa, you can observe the vast sea of darkness as you hear the Muslim call to worship from thousands of mosques. David Peach has been in full time missions work with the Deaf since He has started several deaf ministries in various countries and established a deaf church in Mexico.

Hello Ebrahim. I would talk to your own pastor about this for there is likely missionary work you can do where you live. Many want to evangelize the lost and go overseas when there are lost people in your own neighborhood, your next door neighbor and in your city or county and country.

Please talk to your pastor about how you can do street preaching and one on one witnessing. I like to work as a missionary any where in the world. Then i can save souls from sins and bring them to jesus. Hi did Caroline. I am also called to give the youth a sense of belonging to. Am an evangelist wanting to connect with available missionaries for mission work for the sick and the oppressed persons. I want to work full time missionary in India. I know that there are many in this world still who are illiterate. However, I hope these tracts that I feel are inspired by God will help reach those who can read. I presently have a tract about salvation that is written in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, and Japanese. It is free to anyone who wants it. If someone could pay the postage that would help me as my income is not large.

If not, I will do my best to send them. I will gladly send samples of these tracts if you want to see them. I just want to help spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world who are in need of salvation. Hello Deborah. We are not in a position to send funds for things like tracts or stamps. If God wants something done, He always provides a way for His will.

But this is a faulty assumption. When people in the West think about missions, they tend to envision thick jungles, dark temples, and grass huts—not cathedrals, high rises, or basketball courts. Europe is minimally-reached. Europe offers unusual access to displaced peoples.

Warfare, disease, and death are common refrains throughout these displacement accounts. The missionaries who go to the Congo also help people with their day-to-day life by providing seeds and farming tools so that they are able to feed themselves and they also give the citizens access to clean water. Russia is one of the largest nations in the world - three United States could fit inside Russia.

Given the political turmoil going on in the country and the fact that Russia is still recovering from the collapse of the Soviet Union and the USSR, Christian missionaries see a dire need for service and religious guidance.

In alone, about 20, missionaries went to Russia to not only spread the Gospel, but also to help citizens with basic needs such as food, water, education, and medical care. Obviously, the churches see a need not only for God in Brazil, but also for humanitarian services such as providing clean water to the more remote locations as well as medical care and educational opportunities. All of these factors combined make Brazil the second most-visited country by missionaries.

The fact that the United States is at the number one spot is ironic. Given that the country is a generally self-proclaimed Christian nation overall and is one of the top countries that sends missionaries, why in the world is the United States in the number one spot for receiving missionaries?

It may be because the United States has opened up many opportunities for foreign missionaries to reach different groups of people such as foreigners and refugees - groups a native English speaking missionary would have a difficult time reaching.
